Welcome Dr. Kiersten Wise to the University of Kentucky
Dr. Kiersten Wise is the Department of Plant Pathology’s newest addition to the faculty (Figure. 1). She is an Extension Plant Pathologist with responsibilities in field crops and is based out of the University of Kentucky Research and Education Center in Princeton.

Dr. Wise comes to the University of Kentucky with a stellar level of experience and a highly-productive career. Most recently, she was a faculty member at Purdue University, where she was an Extension Plant Pathologist with state-wide responsibilities in field crops for the last several years. Dr. Wise received her Ph.D. at North Dakota State University, her M.S. at the University of Georgia, and her B.S. in her native state of Iowa at Iowa State University.
Dr. Wise is a nationally-recognized leader in field crop pathology, and the University of Kentucky and the Commonwealth are extremely fortunate to have Dr. Wise working in Kentucky.
