Air and Soil Temps and Duration of Freeze on April 21 & 22
Conner Raymond and Carrie Knott
April 21 and 22, 2021 had freezing temperatures (and snow!!!) across much of Kentucky.
Quite a few acres of corn and soybean may have been planted within the past week. Couple that with these air and soil temperatures and the duration of the freeze event, many of us are probably going to be walking a lot of fields in the next week to ten days to assess whether any damage occurred.
When we do, this information may come in handy.
Minimum air and soil temperatures and duration of freezing temperatures across various locations in the state. Data were obtained from https://www.kymesonet.org.
