The University of Kentucky is holding the first Wheat Field School of 2018 on March 1st. These in-depth, hands-on trainings are held throughout the year during periods that are important to grain production, such as green up, planting and harvesting. The training is geared toward crop advisors, managers, consultants or anyone else involved in wheat production.
Topics will include:
- Assessing Early-Season Crop Condition
- Techniques for Managing Nitrogen
- Weed ID and Control Options
The Field School will be held on the UKREC Farm (1205 Hopkinsville Street in Princeton, KY) from 9am - 4:00pm CST, with lunch is included. Class size is limited to 30 people per training. This training will be held rain or shine so please dress appropriately. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED - see link below.
