The University of Kentucky KATS program will be hosting a  Drone and Planter workshop on March 26 from 9 am until 3 pm.  Sign in begins at 8:30 and lunch will be provided. This clinic will feature demonstrations and an interactive experience for clinic participants. Registration is limited and the cost per participant is $105.

  • When using a drone on the farm to create orthomosaics and digital surface models to estimate quality and volume of the crop, there are inherent trade offs related to speed, altitude, photo overlap, and resolution.  This presentation will cover the results related to alfalfa and late harvest corn drone flights.

  • Using evidence in the field to identify improper planter settings and providing guidance to alleviate the issues.  Participants will identify and diagnose improper planter settings and fix them in the field.  Corn growth yield will be followed.

**There has been a lot of interest in this workshop and registration will be limited. More information including the registration link can be found at http://kats.ca.uky.edu
