A recent correspondence with Phillip Anderson, crop consultant from Daviess County, reported a significant outbreak of fall armyworms (FAW, Spodoptera frugiperda, Noctuidae) in cover crop wheat and rye; and also in pastures located in reclaimed land from coal mines.
