KATS Weeds and Soil Considerations

The University of Kentucky KATS program will be hosting Weed and Soil Workshop on February 18, 2020. This half-day training will feature demonstrations and an interactive experience for clinic participants. The cost per participant is $65.

Topics:

How herbicide MOA’s kill weeds

How resistance occurs in weeds and crops

Soil sample strategies for row crop production

The basis of soil test recommendations: correlation, calibration and different philosophies, soils lab tour

Planning a herbicide program around effective sites of action

**This workshop will primarily be an indoor workshop at the UK Research and Education Center, however a short amount of time may include going outdoors, so please plan accordingly.

The program will run from 8- noon.

Sign in begins at 7:30 and lunch will follow the training.
